Staying in a hotel in Lisbon would cost you 95€ per night last year, according to the Portuguese Association for Hospitality. However, there is one hotel in the capital that might cost you at least seven times more than the average. At this five-star hotel, where the balconies and the private terraces have a privileged view of the seven hills of the Portuguese capital, the nightly rate can go up to 600 euros. In the same hotel, a suite can easily surpass 17,000€ per night.

“Great hotel facilities with amazing rooftop panoramic views”, “Spectacular and certainly the best Four Seasons we have stayed at” or “Excellent staff, very comfortable and high-quality hotel” were some of the good reviews one can find in the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon’s booking page. On a scale of 0 to 10, the hotel is rated 8.7.

The hotel is located in Rodrigo da Fonseca Street 88 at Avenidas Novas’ neighbourhood and it welcomes its guests since 1998. It has a total of 282 rooms, 41 of which are suites, four restaurants and lounges, a 24-7 business centre, a fitness centre with an external running track, a spa and an interior pool with a view of Edward VII Park.

At the hotel, breakfast is often not included and it comes at a cost of 47 euros per person and is served at the Varanda Restaurant. With such prices for breakfast, one can have an idea of how much a night might cost. The cheapest room there is the superior room (with a capacity for 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child), costing 620€/night.

However, if one is looking for more luxurious holidays, the hotel offers a Presidential Suite with 247 square meters and a river view. It is composed of a private dining room, a kitchen, one common bathroom for visitors. For the guest, the main bathroom is decorated with marbles and a hot tub. It might cost 17,010 euros per night.
