Government relaunches the sale of the bank Efisa in January

Parparticipadas will relaunch the sale of the bank Efisa in the beginning of the year. After the failure in April, the forecast is that the process will be concluded within three or four months.

Parparticipadas will relaunch the sale of the bank Efisa during January. The information is disclosed by the entity in a press release sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). The forecast is that the process should be concluded “within three or four months”, after the sale of the bank to Pivot, the company held by Aethel Partners and Miguel Relvas, failed in April of this year.

“After the information requests received, Parparticipadas is informing all interested parties that it will launch a sale procedure for the sale of the Bank Efisa during January of 2018 by publishing the respective announcement”, stated Parparticipadas in the press release sent to CMVM. “The sale should be made through a public tender, limited to entities that meet certain requirements and that are selected according to the criteria set in the tender programme”, it further states.

After the information requests received, Parparticipadas is informing all interested parties that it will launch a sale procedure for the sale of the Bank Efisa during January of 2018 by publishing the respective announcement.

In that same press release, the State also mentions the prediction is that the procedure can be concluded “with the public tendering of the winner, within three or four months”.
