The US agency upgraded BCR’s rating to "Baa1" from "Baa2". The outlook is "stable".

Moody’s has upgraded the BCR – Brisa Concessão Rodoviária’s rating to “Baa1” from “Baa2”, the Portuguese company announced this Tuesday in a statement sent to CMVM.

“Brisa – Concessão Rodoviária, S.A. (“BCR”) hereby informs that Moody’s Investors Service (“Moody’s”) has today upgraded BCR’s rating to ‘Baa1’ from ‘Baa2’. The outlook is ‘stable’,” the company said.

“This rating action follows Moody’s recent upgrade of Portugal’s rating, combined with the financial resilience demonstrated by BCR, notwithstanding the weak traffic performance resulting from the travel restrictions that were in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” it added.

Between January and June 2021, Brisa saw profits increase to €52 million, representing a 50.8% rise compared to the same period in the previous year.
