Organisers expecting 40,000 participants at Web Summit 2021 in Lisbon

The chief executive of the Web Summit, Paddy Cosgrave, said on Tuesday he expected about 40,000 participants in this year’s edition of the technology summit, which takes place in Lisbon in early November.
The Web Summit co-founder pointed out that at first, the organisation indicated that the number of attendees would be 10,000, then in recent months, it has been growing.
“And now we expect a maximum of 40,000 people from all over the world,” added Cosgrave, who was speaking at the press conference on the 2021 edition of the tech summit, which runs from November 1 to 4.
For his part, the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, considered the number of expected participants to be “excellent news for the economy and the country”.
