Unemployment in Portugal jumps 22.1% in April
The number of unemployed registered with the IEFP rose to 392,323 in April. This is a 22.1% jump compared to the same period last year.
The number of unemployed registered with Portugal’s Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP) increased 22.1% in April, compared to the same period last year.
According to data the IEFP released on Wednesday, the number of unemployed registered with the IEFP rose to 392,323 (71,083 more people).
In relation to March, the number of registered unemployed also rose, showing a growth of 14.1% (48,562 more).
