She is one of Horta Osório’s right arm in Lloyds, the first woman to be nominated for the position and also the first Portuguese appointed by the North American fund Lone Star, the new owners of the financial institution headed by António Ramalho.

Academically, her training took place in the United Kingdom, “with a Master of Art (PPE – Politics, Philosophy and Economics) at the University of Oxford and a Master of Science (MSc) Management at the London School of Economics”.
The appointment of Carla Antunes da Silva, one of Horta Osório’s right arms and the first woman on the General and Supervisory Board of Novo Banco, “completes the GSB with a final number of nine members”. All that is left is for ECB to approve her name, so she can begin her works.
