The sale of the Lusiada group is in the final straight. Ageas and two of France's largest private healthcare groups, Ramsay Générale de Santé and Vivalto, are leading the race.

Of the four candidates to buy Lusíadas Group that submitted binding proposals, the decision is expected to be made between Ageas and two of the largest French private healthcare groups, Ramsay Générale de Santé and Vivalto, according to Portuguese newspaper Jornal Económico.

The winner of the sale process is expected to be announced by the end of this month. The operation is valued at around €200 million and is being advised by Bank of America in Madrid.

In March, it had been reported that there were six interested parties in Lusíadas, including Luz Saúde. Earlier this year, the Lusíadas Group moved ahead with a reorganisation of the units in Lisbon, with Clínica de Santo António changing its name, to Hospital Lusíadas Amadora, ECO reported at the time.
