44% leap in public works contracts in first four months

Regarding works contracts concluded within the scope of public tenders, in the first four months of the year they were €190 million, 52% more than at the end of April of last year.

The total amount of public works tenders in the first four months of the year recorded a 44% increase, to €1.715 billion, compared to €1.194 billion in the same period last year, the AICCOPN announced on Monday.

According to the latest “Public Works Barometer” of the Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industries (AICCOPN), by the end of April, public works contracts signed and registered on the Base Portal totalled €625 million, which represents a year-on-year increase of 50%.

Regarding works contracts concluded within the scope of public tenders, in the first four months of the year they were €190 million, 52% more than at the end of April of last year.

Contracts concluded as a result of direct adjustments and prior consultations totalled €84 million in this period, 7% more than that recorded in the first months of 2022.

Overall, the total number of contracts signed in the first four months of the year was €886 million, 55% more than the previous year.
