According to INE’s ‘Tourist Activity’ report for November, “in the first 11 months of 2022, total revenue grew 118.2% and the related to room increased 120.4%.”

In November last year, “among the municipalities with greater representativeness in the total number of overnight stays, Lisbon stood out with a recovery compared to 2019 levels, [as did] Albufeira, which still showed a reduction in overnight stays compared to 2019, in both cases mostly due to non-residents.”

Taking account all forms of tourist accommodation (tourist accommodation establishments, camping sites and vacation camps and youth hostels), in the first 11 months there were 27.2 million guests and 73.1 million overnight stays, up 83.6% and 83.5% on the year.
