The Aveiro-based company enters third market less than a month after arriving in Spain.

The electric car charging app Miio is available in France as of this Monday. The solution born in Aveiro will be able to be used in 55,000 charging stations in this country, thanks to the connection to European roaming platforms. The entry into this market comes less than a month after the arrival in Spain.

“With this expansion, our major goal is to simplify electric mobility for more and more users. We have managed to cover most of the French territory, thus removing one more obstacle to the energy transition in mobility. We want electric mobility to be as or more practical and convenient as traditional mobility,” emphasises Miio’s leader and co-founder, Daniela Simões.

To use the app, you need to go to a charging station with your electric vehicle. On site, after selecting the station and the socket you want to use, you have to click on “start”.

Currently with 19 employees, Miio “is hiring new resources to support its growth and internationalisation”. However, no recruitment targets are indicated.

Born in 2018 in Aveiro, the company already has over 88,000 users in the Portuguese market alone.
