The operation is valued at around €200 million and is being advised by Bank of America in Madrid.

Vivalto Santé has won the race and is in exclusive negotiations to buy the Lusíadas Group. Among the binding proposals submitted, the price offered by the French private healthcare group far outweighed the other bids, reports the newspaper Jornal Económico.

In addition to this French group, the consortium comprising Ageas, Tranquilidade and Ramsay Générale de Santé were also in the running to acquire the Lusíadas Group. The Portuguese healthcare group is owned by US-based United Healthcare, which intends to close the deal by July 30.

The operation is valued at around €200 million and is being advised by Bank of America in Madrid. In March, it had been reported that there were six interested parties in Lusíadas, including Luz Saúde. Earlier this year, the Lusíadas Group moved ahead with a reorganisation of the units in Lisbon, with Clínica de Santo António changing its name, to Hospital Lusíadas Amadora, ECO reported at the time.
