To be inaugurated between the end of January and February, this new factory will be the 24th unit of the Portuguese group, which is the largest European manufacturer of steel moulds.

The Simoldes Group will invest around €27 million in opening a new factory in Zory, Poland, which will be the 24th manufacturing unit of Europe’s largest steel moulds manufacturer. According to Jornal de Negócios, the inauguration is due to take place at the end of January and around 150 jobs will be created.

The information was given by the vice president of the Simoldes Group to Jornal de Negócios: “[The factory] was supposed to start operating in October, but due to construction contingencies in Poland, the opening was moved to the end of January, beginning of February,” said Rui Paulo Rodrigues, adding that the new unit will start operating “with around 150 workers.”

With this new factory, the aim is to reach, “by 2025, the same size as the other factory in Poland [in Wroclaw], which has 800 people and generates a turnover of €100 million,” he added.
