874 new cases and two deaths by Covid-19 in Portugal

The number of people infected with coronavirus continues to increase and, in the last 24 hours, there have been 874 new cases.

There are 874 new cases of coronavirus compared to Monday, bringing the total number of people infected with the disease to 824,368. Two people have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official report of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

Of the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus, most are undergoing treatment at home, with 504 inpatients, 113 of them in intensive care units (ICU). There are over 14,000 under the surveillance of the health authorities.

Since it was detected in Portugal at the beginning of March, the coronavirus has caused the death of 16,887 people, two of them in the last 24 hours.
